Chiara is a postdoctoral research fellow at the MGH Martinos Center. She currently splits her time between the Laboratory for Computational Neuroimaging, where she works on optimizing/validating diffusion MRI tractography tools and the Neuroimaging for Coma and Consciousness Lab, where she applies these tools to patients with traumatic brain injury. Her long-term research goal is to develop and test translational tools for the automated assessment of brain white matter in clinical settings.
She has always really enjoyed reading and writing and the fascinating relationship between art and science.
Outside work, she enjoys skiing, hiking, horse-riding, and really anything that is Out in the nature!
One of her favorite quotes is: “Data is not knowledge, knowledge is not truth, truth is not faith, faith is not love, love is not music. Music is everything.” – Frank Zappa
